Meet Your New Coach

Managed Stores Maintained Top 5 Status in Canada
After spending 21 years on the road as a singer and front man touring all over North America, circumstances dictated it was time for a change, so a friend of mine set me up with an interview at Advantage Ford in Calgary.
Dick Lau was the general manager and thankfully decided to give me a chance. In the first month I sold 28 cars, reaching 75 in the first three and solidifying that I had found a home. Advantage became somewhere I could not only make a great living, but also have the opportunity to move up into management and start a career.
I spent just less than two years on the sales floor before being moved into management, where I would spend the next 9 years of my career. First, as a used car manager and then as the new car manager before finally becoming the general manager. I loved every position because it was new, it was exciting, it was a challenge and I was fortunate enough to have a great team that believed in and supported me.
After taking the store to number 2 overall in the city, I left and took on a new challenge as the general manager of another larger ford dealership. It was exciting and I knew going into it I would only be GM for 18 months , but decided to stay on as the GSM of not only the Ford store, but also of the used car satellite store.
Like everything in life, nothing lasts forever, so I went into a soft retirement in 2019 with hopes to start this company then. As fate would have it, I got a call from Advantage Ford and went back there as the GSM to end out my career. This was by far the most fun I had in the industry and a wonderful way to end a great career. I can't thank Cailean and Gerry Wood enough for the memories made over the past 4 years.
On Dec 29th of last year I formally retired.
